Whitney Houston and Dana Bash

Whitney Elizabeth Houston was conceived in a musical family on 9 August 1993 in Newark New Jersey. Whitney is a cousin and daughter to singing superstar Dionne. In Newark, Whitney began singing with the church choir in the early years of her childhood. At the age 15 she joined her mother in backing vocals in Chaka's smash Im Every Woman from 1978. Later, she provided background vocals for Lou Rawls & Jermaine jackson as well as her mom. Her first gig was as a lead vocalist for the New York-based New York Funk band Material. Her quality of vocal work attracted attention from the major label Arista which she joined in 1983. The first Whitney Houston album was released in the year 1985. However, it was, the 1992 movie The Bodyguard that solidified her status as one the world's most loved performers. Although the film was not very well received, nor did her performance, the music of her Dolly Parton version I Will Always Love You was able to reach the top spot on both the singles and album charts across the US for a period of time. The album sold over 44 million copies. That same year she was married to Bobby Brown who was a former New Edition singer. She was the sole daughter of Bobby and Bobbi Kristina Brown. They were married on March 23, 1993. It was at this point and at the time of her death in 1996, she'd become a regular user.

Dana Bash is also known as Dana Ruth Schwartz and she is employed by CNN as both an anchorwoman, reporter, and political correspondent.
