Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine combines R&B, soul gospel and jazz in the style that is his own. She has performed on Broadway and at the Democratic National Convention and in the European clubs and festivals. Sunshine Her real name has been given as Denise White. While she is living in Atlanta at present, Sunshine comes born in Chester Pennsylvania. In Chester Pennsylvania she first began her journey as a musician by playing and singing at the church in town. She was a student at Spellman College in Atlanta where she began her training in Atlanta's R&B scene. The Fighting Temptations The single featuring her voice, Stalk You the House, came out only in Japan. It has been remixed numerous times and has become a staple in her live performance. Her voice was also added to the soundtrack for The Fighting Temptations. She was the main keyboardist at Tyler Perry's stage show Meet the Browns. Jennifer Holliday was the Grammy and Tony Award winner who approached her in 2007 to serve as Choral Director of Dreamgirls, the theatre production of Atlanta's National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine was the subject of national media interest during four consecutive performances during the 2008 Democratic National Convention and was subsequently invited to sing at the Obama's inauguration ceremony in 2009.
