Winona-Ryder
Winona Ryder is the professionally-known name given to Winona Laura Hoowitz who was who was born within Winona Minnesota. Her parents, Winona Ryder's parents, gave her the name of the town she grew up in. Her father Michel Horowitz and her mother Cynthia Palmer were authors and editors. Ryder's mother and father have both been Jewish. Ryder believes herself to be Jewish. Uria is Ryder's younger sister. Jubal, Sunyata and Sunyata are Ryder's half-siblings. Ryder along with her whole family relocated to Mendocino, California in the year 2000, when Ryder was only seven years old. There they didn't have electricity. Ryder would read extensively due to the lack of television. Ryder began taking acting classes when Ryder was 12years old in the American Conservatory Theatre. When she was 15, Ryder landed her first part on the screen in Lucas. Ryder experienced bullying at high school. She hoped that the acting profession would end that. But, unfortunately, that didn't occur. But she pushed on with her dream. In 1988 she had her big break in Tim Burton's Beetlejuice. Ryder kept playing successful roles in a variety of films. In 1993, she was nominated twice in the Academy Awards. One of them for her role In The Age of Innocence.
